Robert Cavanah is a Scottish actor/writer/director/producer. Cavanah was born in Edinburgh, Scotland. He is a fluent Spanish speaker. His roles in television include Wuthering Heights playing lead role Heathcliff and most recently playing Jared Fraser in the popular series Outlander. Other roles include Cadfael and Highlander: The Raven.

 

Robert co wrote, produced, directed and starred alongside Danny Dyer in the 2010 film Pimp. Other film roles include Tomb Raider, The Cradle of Life, The Fall of the Essex Boys and Sahara.

 

Roberts Theatre work includes Ena Lamont Stewart and Men Should Sleep in the role of John Morrison both of which he appeared in at the Royal National Theatre.
