Givanni Lombardo Radice is a European based Artist

GIOVANNI LOMBARDO RADICE aka JOHN MORGHEN (Rome 1954) is an actor – stage director – screenwriter – translator. The last born of a very intellectual family, quite influential in Italy, he decided to devote himself to show business since early childhood, when seduced by the Sicilian marionette theatre. He went into professional acting in 1975 and after a few years of stage work both as actor and director he made his movie debut in 1979 in Ruggero Deodato’s HOUSE AT THE EDGE OF THE PARK, co-starring with David A. Hess. It was the beginning of a “horror” career, which saw him working with all the icon directors of Italian exploitation and genre movies: Antonio Margheriti, Lucio Fulci, Umberto Lenzi, Michele Soavi, Lamberto Bava, Sergio Martino. The incredibly large fan basis of these movies made him a favourite all over the world amongst horror fans and since 2007 he started attending conventions in US, UK and Germany. He worked with fellow actors such as Michael York, Anthony Quinn, Marcello Mastroianni, Franco Nero, John Saxon, Bo Svenson. Aside from his “horror” career, he starred in many European high budget TV series, such as “The Bible”, “The Heart And The Sword”, “The Courier Of The Tsar” and in Italian movies by Roberto Faenza, Maurizio Nichetti, Christian De Sica. He never abandoned the theatre world and directed and acted in more than fifty plays, both classic and modern. For fifteen years he directed a theatre in Rome and its steady company. He founded an acting school and taught acting in the Italian National Cinema School. He has been also active in screenwriting for TV and in translating plays from English and French into Italian. He wrote a book “Handsome And Unreachable”, which has been successfully published twice.
